In February 2023, David made a deliberate decision to resign from public office to focus in personal mastery and health, innovation, civic education, entrepreneurship, and political leadership — driven by a desire to contribute more directly and impactfully to society.

True leadership at the Lusaka City Council level means prioritizing these basic but critical services, ensuring that governance delivers practical results that improve everyday life for every resident."
David is the visionary behind the SmartLusakaCity Project, an initiative focused on leveraging digital tools, AI, and community participation to improve service delivery, transparency, and accountability at ward and city level. His governance philosophy is grounded in Zambia’s Constitution, particularly the principles of decentralization, citizen empowerment, patriotism, integrity, and sustainable development.
